The Annual Reunion

Family reunions are held annually on the third Saturday in August at the Highland Park Camp Meeting Ground just south of Sellersville, PA, on Bethlehem Road at Highland Drive. The first map below shows where Sellersville is situated in relation to neighboring towns and to Philadelphia. The second map shows the Sellersville-Perkasie area in greater detail, with the Highland Park Camp Meeting Ground underscored in red.

Each year the reunion features contests, prizes, a cake walk, and displays of old photographs and documents about family and area history. This is also a chance to acquire a copy of the 3-volume Hunsberger family book, while supplies last. Also available for purchase are mugs, T-shirts, and other items featuring the Hunsberger family crest designed by Byron K. Hunsberger.

At our reunions we usually hold a BAKE SALE. Any donations of baked goods are welcomed. Please keep in mind that small items (bags of 6-12 cookies) tend to sell better than large items (a whole cake or pie).

Directions:
  • From the South: Take Route 309 north to Bethlehem Road; bear right at Peruzzi Toyota to the intersection of Route 152 (on the left) and Highland Drive (on the right). Highland Park is on the far right corner.


  • From the North: Take Route 309 south to the Telford exit (State route 152). Turn right and travel east on 152, away from Telford, to the intersection with Bethlehem Road. Highland Park is on the far left corner.

If you need a place to stay, there are four motels immediately off the PA Turnpike on Rt 663. These places generally charge about $99 per night, but if you have a large group coming we may be able to arrange a discount -- call Sylvia at 610-532-9240. The four motels are:

In addition, there may be space available right at the Highland Park Campground where the reunion is held. When last we checked cottages were $20 per night, dormitory rentals were $5 per person per night, and a camp site was $10 per night.
